SOCAR: 'With opening of Zangazur Corridor, we can compete with Georgia for international traffic on regional scale'

The opening of the Zangazur Corridor is primarily an important international factor for medium- and long-term stability, Adviser to the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Elchin Agakishiyev, said at the IADC Drilling Caspian conference held in Baku, Report informs.

He said that this will ensure economic prosperity and create many opportunities for Armenia: "The second issue is that with the opening of the corridor, we can compete with Georgia for international traffic on a regional scale, increase the volume of general operations in this area, and end conflicts peacefully. It is also important in terms of economic growth and new jobs."
