Parviz Shahbazov: Azerbaijan committed to green agenda

Azerbaijan is committed to the implementation of the "green" energy agenda, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said at the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

He noted that green energy corridors are shaping the emerging geo-economic map of the future.

"Azerbaijan is committed to implementing its green agenda. The Sustainable Development Goal 7 roadmap for Azerbaijan presented today is another clear confirmation of this commitment. This roadmap comprehensively defines the future trajectory of Azerbaijan's energy system and the transition to a sustainable, efficient and low-carbon model," Shahbazov said.

The minister added that the forum will make an important contribution to stimulating investment in the energy transition, expanding regional cooperation, and further strengthening Central Asia's position in the global green agenda.
