Syrian students may study in Azerbaijan under new grant program

Discussions are underway regarding the possibility of Syrian students studying at higher education institutions in Azerbaijan under the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan.

The issue was addressed during the first online meeting of the Syria-Azerbaijan working group focused on humanitarian areas.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Education and Head of the Syria-Azerbaijan Working Group on Humanitarian Areas, Kanan Karimzada, Azerbaijani group members, Azerbaijan’s Chargé d'Affaires in Syria Elnur Shahhuseynov, as well as Syria’s Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Syrian side of the working group Gheys Varqouzeq, along with other Syrian representatives.

The participants discussed bilateral cooperation in science, education, and culture.
