Rector: Number of Arabic language learners in Azerbaijan increases

In recent years, the number of students learning Arabic in Azerbaijani educational institutions has grown, Sayavush Gasimov, Rector of Baku Eurasian University, said during the opening ceremony of “Arabic Language Month” held at Baku State University, Report informs.
The event was initiated by the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Gasimov noted that Azerbaijani and Islamic cultures are deeply integrated through the Arabic language:
“In today’s world, learning this language has become a key factor in diplomacy, economics, and tourism.”
The rector added that teaching Arabic is important both for preserving historical and cultural heritage and for fostering international cooperation:
“In the future, efforts in this direction will be further expanded.”
