Consumer market in Azerbaijan grows by 5%

In January-July of 2025, the value of goods sold and services provided to meet consumer needs in Azerbaijan amounted to 44.6 billion manats (over $26.235 billion), representing a 5% growth year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

Retail trade turnover accounted for 78.6% of the monthly turnover, paid services provided to the population accounted for 18.1%, and public catering turnover accounted for 3.3%.

During the seven-month period, the value of goods sold and services provided by economic entities operating in the private sector surged by 4.9% YoY to 42.8 billion manats (over $25.176 billion), 44.1% of which was formed through the activities of individual entrepreneurs.

For 7 months, a consumer spent an average of 623.1 manats ($366.53), or 57 manats ($33.53) more in nominal terms than a year ago.
