Azerbaijan increases tobacco import costs by more than 22%

From January through July this year, Azerbaijan imported $56.577 million worth of tobacco and tobacco substitutes.

According to the State Customs Committee, this is ;10.523 million (22.8%) more than in the same period last year.

In the first seven months, Azerbaijan's exports of tobacco and tobacco substitutes amounted to $4.511 million, which is $3.057 million (40.4%) less than 2020.

The imports of tobacco and tobacco industry substitutes accounted for 0.9% of Azerbaijan's total imports, and exports were responsible for 0.04%.
