Azerbaijan, Germany discuss establishing business council

Azerbaijan and Germany are discussing the establishment of a business council, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on X.

According to Report, he said the discussions took place within the framework of the Baku Energy Week during a meeting with Chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Michael Harms.

The minister noted broad potential for cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, development of small and medium-sized enterprises, energy, agriculture, and tourism.

He also discussed initiatives to expand ties between business communities and develop human capital, as well as improving the effectiveness of the Azerbaijan-Germany High-Level Working Group on Trade and Investment.

He emphasized the importance of establishing an Azerbaijan-Germany business council and signing a joint declaration of intent to deepen and diversify business relations.
