Turkic-speaking countries to sign agreement in field of food safety

An agreement in the field of food safety will be signed between the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), OTS Deputy Secretary General Omer Kocaman said at the International Agro Business Forum held in Baku today, the report informs.

According to him, work is currently underway on the draft of the document.

He also said that an agreement on cooperation between OTS and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will be signed: "This contract will be signed in Italy at the end of March. Work will be carried out to ensure food safety in OTS member countries together with FAO."
