Kazakhstan’s grain exports to Azerbaijan skyrocket

Kazakhstan has significantly increased its grain exports to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Iran, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin stated during a briefing, Report informs.

“Between September 2024 and August 10, 2025, the largest increases were recorded in exports to Uzbekistan (+34%, up to 3.7 million tons), Tajikistan (+47%, up to 1.395 million tons), Afghanistan (+52%, up to 329,000 tons), and Kyrgyzstan (2.1-fold, up to 262,000 tons). Exports to Iran rose 16-fold (up to 974,000 tons), while exports to Azerbaijan surged 121-fold, reaching 728,000 tons,” he stated.

According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, total grain and flour exports during the reporting period amounted to 12.6 million tons in grain equivalent—an increase of 33% compared to the same period last year (9.5 million tons).
