Azerbaijan imports 31.7 tons of sea bass in 1H2025

In January–June 2025, Azerbaijan imported 31.68 tons of sea bass worth $202,300 from foreign countries, according to the data from the State Statistical Committee, Report informs.

This marks an 8% decrease in value and a 21% decline in volume compared to the same period in 2024.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported:

• 31.66 tons of sea bass worth $201,160 from Türkiye (down 9% in value and 22% in volume from the previous year),

• 0.01 tons worth $670 from Germany,

• 0.01 tons worth $260 from the Netherlands (no imports from the Netherlands were recorded a year ago),

• 0.01 tons worth $180 from Japan.

Notably, for the first time in the last 14 years—based on publicly available foreign trade data dating back to 2011—Azerbaijan has imported sea bass from Germany and Japan.
