Turkiye’s Baykar Makina presents first jet drone with Ukrainian engine

The Turkish company Baykar Makina, which created the famous Bayraktar drone, has presented a new prototype of a combat drone. It will be called Kizilelma ("Red Apple") and will be equipped with Ukrainian engines, Report informs citing foreign media.
“The National Unmanned Combat Air System (MUIS) will be powered by a jet engine and is expected to be able to take off and land on Turkiye’s flagship amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu (under construction),” the report said.
This UAV will be the company’s first jet-powered drone. The platform will fly at supersonic speeds at high altitude. The first flight was previously scheduled for 2023.
