Turkish FM: Discussions with Qatar on Kabul Airport are underway

“We continue discussions with Qatar on Kabul Airport,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said at a meeting with representatives of civil society in Eskişehir, Report informs.
“Currently, there is no need for our soldiers to stay there. We have now hosted the Qatari Foreign Minister in Ankara to ensure the operation of the airport. Meetings and discussions continue,” he said.
Çavuşoğlu said 4,000 Turkish citizens are still in Afghanistan.
