Serdar Kilic: Zangazur Corridor important not only for Türkiye, Armenia, but also for Central Asia

The Zangazur Corridor is not only of regional but also of international importance, Türkiye's Special Representative for Normalization of Relations with Armenia Serdar Kilic told journalists, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.

"This communication is very important. The Zangazur Corridor is of crucial importance for ensuring communication not only between Armenia and Türkiye, but also with the whole of Central Asia and the Turkic states. We strive to open it in a short time, following the instructions of our president, and contribute to the economy of both countries, and especially Igdir and Kars," Kilic said.

Referring to the normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan, he noted that work is underway together with Armenia's Special Representative Ruben Rubinyan aimed at the economic development of the two countries and the region as a whole.

The diplomat said that the delegation he leads will head to Yerevan through the Alijan border checkpoint in Igdir to hold a number of meetings.
