Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, has commented on the meeting of the US and Russian presidents in Alaska, Report informs.
The speaker shared his thoughts on the social network.
He noted that the Russian president agreed with Trump's opinion that the war in Ukraine could have been prevented. Papuashvili stated that "this agreement once again proves that the war is actually between Russia and the West, and external forces tried to drag Georgia into this confrontation."
"If peace were possible and the US president had the opportunity to influence this process, this directly confirms that the conflict escalated into a war between Russia and the West. This also explains why war did not start in Georgia in 2022 - because the country didn't meet puppets, as in 2008, but patriots," the chairman of the parliament noted.
