Mirziyoyev, Putin mull Uzbekistan-Russia relations

On May 22, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, Report informs referring to the Uzbek leader's press service.
"Current issues regarding the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance were discussed in the context of the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level," reads the statement.
Trade turnover is growing steadily, having increased by 23% since the beginning of the year. Major cooperation projects in industry, energy, transport, and other priority sectors, including at the regional level, are ongoing.
"The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events," the statement emphasized.
