Iranian Red Crescent announces measures for Khamenei funeral

The funeral and farewell ceremony for Iran's killed Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, will be accompanied by 67,000 military personnel and volunteers, the Iranian Red Crescent Society said, Report informs via IRNA.

The society said it had issued a statement on measures related to Seyyed Ali Khamenei's funeral ceremony.

According to the statement, those attending the ceremony will be accommodated in more than 10 provinces.

More than 2 million temporary accommodation places are expected to be provided for participants.

The statement said 37,000 of those involved would be humanitarian workers and volunteers, while 30,000 would be military personnel. Information on how the Red Crescent will cover the ceremonies in Iran's Qom and Razavi Khorasan provinces and in Iraq will be announced later.
