Georgia wants to create artificial island in Black Sea

Georgia plans to create an artificial island on the Black Sea coast in Batumi.
According to Report's local bureau, the island will be an analog of the famous Palm Island in Dubai.
The Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Rijvadze said that an agreement has already been reached with a specific investment company on the construction of the island: "It is intended to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the project."
According to him, relevant research on the unique project will begin this year.
Sketches of the artificial island were spread in the Georgian segment of the social network Facebook and caused active discussion among users.
