Georgia registers 19 observer groups ahead of local elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has announced that 19 observer organizations have been registered so far for the upcoming local elections, Report informs.
According to the CEC statement, five more organizations – including 3 international and 2 local groups – were officially registered today.
Some of the registered observer missions include organizations invited from Europe.
The CEC also dismissed recent speculation in the media, stating that such claims are baseless and serve only to undermine the credibility of the electoral administration.
