Minister: State program aims to create jobs in Azerbaijan's regions

The State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fishery and Aquaculture Products in Azerbaijan for 2026-2030 is aimed at creating jobs in the regions.

Report informs that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said this in an interview with AzTV, ARB TV and AZERTAC.

The minister stressed that the State Program is aimed at encouraging people to remain in the regions.

"We also understand that, as a result of urbanization, the workforce in districts and villages is declining, and the main solution to this is to expand mechanisms in agriculture. The wider use of modern irrigation, new machinery and technologies, spraying equipment, various devices and attachments will certainly be one of the conditions here," he said.
