Botchorishvili says cooperation with Uzbekistan key for Middle Corridor development

Cooperation with Uzbekistan, one of Central Asia's rapidly developing countries, is of significant importance for Georgia, particularly in the context of developing the Middle Corridor, said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Report informs.

The minister noted that the last visit of Uzbekistan's president to Georgia at this level took place 23 years ago.

"This is a historic opportunity to elevate relations between our countries to a new level. A strategic cooperation agreement is planned to be signed to further deepen relations in various areas," Bochorishvili said.

She added that the Georgia–Uzbekistan Business Forum held during the visit would contribute to expanding ties between the two countries' business communities and strengthening practical cooperation.
