Armenia reports 223 new COVID-19 cases

Armenia confirmed 223 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 170,234, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 3,159 as one more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 161,903 people have recovered from the disease.
There are currently 4,373 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
