Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told several of his counterparts on Friday that the ceasefire in Lebanon is a critical issue for Iran and "make or break" for negotiations with the United States, Barak Ravid, Global Affairs Correspondent for Axios, wrote on X, citing his sources, Report informs.
Ravid noted that Araghchi is planning to travel to Switzerland on Saturday, though the schedule could still change, citing a source with knowledge.
A source from one of the mediating countries said Araghchi stressed the ceasefire must take hold before talks with Washington can move forward.
A second source added that Iranian officials want to see the ceasefire implemented before Araghchi proceeds with the planned trip to Switzerland.
