US President Donald Trump said talks with Iran are currently continuing, Report informs.
He made the remarks at the White House while answering a question about the consultations.
Trump said it was surprising that Iran was not denying the talks this time, adding that, for some reason, Tehran did not like to speak publicly about negotiations while they were taking place.
According to him, the United States and Iran are discussing the restoration of normal shipping in the Strait of Hormuz by August 4.
Trump again stressed that Washington would not allow Tehran to charge fees for vessels passing through Hormuz.
He also said the current talks were Tehran's "last chance." The US president noted that the negotiations were being held at Iran's request and with the support of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and other countries.
