Six killed in terrorist attack on Rangers headquarters in Karachi - UPDATED

Six people have been killed in an attack by terrorists on the headquarters of the Sindh Rangers in Karachi.
According to Report, citing Dawn, the regional police chief Javed Alam Odho said three Rangers personnel and three attackers were killed following an exchange of fire.
The report states that the attackers rammed the main gate of the headquarters with a vehicle, triggering a gunfight in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
Odho said the area has been sealed off and a clearance operation is underway involving special police units, counterterrorism forces, and Rangers.
Gunfire and a powerful explosion were reported in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi, Pakistan.
According to Report, citing Dawn, local police said Sindh Rescue 1122 received reports of an explosion near Block 5 in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and immediately dispatched emergency response teams to the scene.
Police special forces and members of the Rapid Response Force also arrived at the site. Authorities have not yet reported any casualties or fatalities.
According to the newspaper, police have cordoned off the surrounding area as the investigation continues.
