Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan ready to support any action by Qatar to protect its sovereignty

Pakistan has expressed its readiness to support all measures taken by Qatar to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif said during talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, Report informs via QNA.
The parties discussed the latest developments in the region, in particular the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Qatari capital, and efforts to achieve peace and stability.
The Pakistani prime minister expressed full solidarity with Qatar and its people, reaffirming support for all steps taken by Doha to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He especially emphasized that the recent Israeli attack is a gross violation of Qatar's sovereignty, is contrary to international law and undermines both regional security and the prospects for a peaceful settlement in the Middle East.
Sharif praised the efforts of the Emir of Qatar aimed at ensuring stability and promoting peace initiatives in the region.
The parties discussed the development of bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in all areas, and exchanged views on current regional and international events, in particular the situation in the Middle East.
Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha today on a one-day visit to express solidarity with the people of Qatar in connection with the Israeli attack on September 9.
