Scholz calls on Russia to stop operations in Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, during which he expressed extreme concern about the situation in Ukraine, Report informs, citing TASS that Spokesman for the German Cabinet of Ministers Steffen Hebestreit told reporters.
The chancellor called on the Russian leadership to immediately stop all hostilities and ensure humanitarian aid has access to the battlefields.
President Putin informed the Chancellor that Russia and Ukraine are planning to hold the third round of talks later this week.
