Roundtable in Kyiv highlights Azerbaijan‑Ukraine energy cooperation

A roundtable titled "Azerbaijan‑Ukraine: Pumped Storage Power Plant (PSP) and New Partnership Opportunities in Renewable Energy" was held in Kyiv, Report informs.
The event aimed to open a new chapter of strategic energy cooperation between the two countries.
Organized by the Azerbaijan‑Ukraine Energy Association, the meeting took place at the hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Participants included leading figures from both countries' energy sectors, scientific institutes, energy companies, embassy officials, and independent experts. The Azerbaijani side joined online.
Farid Babayev, Adviser at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine, was present in person, while Yuriy Husyev, Ukraine's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, participated via videolink. Other speakers included Ukraine's Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolesnyk, Azerbaijani embassy representatives, Ukrainian MPs, and other officials.
During the event, speakers praised the strong energy partnership between the two countries and highlighted Azerbaijan's support for restoring Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The contributions made by Azerbaijan during the war period, especially toward rebuilding energy facilities, were given special recognition.
