Orban: Nuclear energy should not be hostage to ideology

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that nuclear energy should not be hostage to the ideological views of politicians, Report informs.
"Nuclear energy is hostage to an ideological approach. We must free it from this," Orban told reporters on the sidelines of the nuclear energy summit in Brussels.
According to him, nuclear energy must be treated as a clean and safe source of energy.
Orban stressed that nuclear power produces energy cleanly and safely and should be treated as such. Hungary supports the development of nuclear energy, he added.
