Matin Mammadli: Armenia accepts Azerbaijan's peace proposal

Azerbaijan's proposed peace agenda has been accepted by Armenia and other states amid newly emerging geopolitical realities, Matin Mammadli, Head of Department at the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), stated at the event under the theme New Geopolitical Realities in the South Caucasus: Azerbaijan and the Peace Agenda, Report informs.

Mammadli noted that Azerbaijan's peace agenda is based on universally recognized norms and principles of international law, as well as the sovereignty of states: "The people and society of Azerbaijan are ready for peace. The peace agenda has been formed on the basis of principles put forward by Azerbaijan. Acceptance of this agenda, and of the new geopolitical realities as a whole, has not come easily. It was achieved primarily through Azerbaijan's deliberate foreign policy and diplomacy, especially after the Second Karabakh War."
