London intends to send a second warship to the Persian Gulf

British authorities are planning to send a second warship to the Persian Gulf in the coming days, Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.
According to the British TV channel Sky News, The Royal Navy frigate HMS Montrose, which is already in the Gulf, will join the ship HMS Duncan, which participated in NATO exercises in the Black sea.
The second ship is expected to assist the frigate. The exact arrival time of HMS Duncan in the region is not known.
Earlier, CNN reported that five boats, which may belong to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) tried to stop the British tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. Following the incident, London and Tehran issued official statements.
