Ireland extends quarantine until April

Ireland has extended the general isolation regime until April due to the coronavirus, Prime Minister Micheal Martin said, Report informs.

"We expect to maintain the tightened restrictive measures until Easter," he said on RTE.

Martin noted that the exact plan of action for this time has yet to be determined, but despite this, plans for the reopening of educational institutions are a priority for the government.

According to the statistical website Worldometers, more than 206,000 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Ireland during the pandemic, more than 3,800 people died.
