The European Commission is discussing the introduction of a complete ban on issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens.
According to Report, a European source told Izvestia that the proposals are being considered in coordination with European Union member states.
"These proposals are being discussed in coordination with the member states of the European Union," the source said.
Earlier, the CDU/CSU group in the European Parliament proposed banning Russian tourists from entering the EU.
In mid-June, Russian media reported that the European Union had been discussing since early spring a proposal to review previously issued Schengen visas and residence permits held by Russian citizens in European countries.
