The Chinese government calls on the parties to the conflict in Ukraine for a ceasefire and a settlement through dialogue, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular briefing on September 21, commenting on the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin on a partial mobilization in Russia, Report informs referring to TASS.
“China’s position on the crisis in Ukraine is consistent and clear. We call on all parties to engage in dialogue and consultation to end the fighting and find ways to resolve the legitimate security concerns of all parties,” he said.
He also stressed that “China hopes that the international community should create a suitable space and conditions” for negotiations.
