Interior ministers of European Union countries have expressed full solidarity with Spain following the migration crisis in Ceuta, Report's European bureau informs.
European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner said this following an emergency video conference of EU interior ministers.
He said that, according to the Spanish government, the situation in Ceuta, the country's enclave in North Africa, is under control.
According to Brunner, the European Commission has already provided Spain with financial and operational assistance.
"More than 30 employees of the Frontex agency are working in Ceuta. It was possible to bring the situation back under control. This did not happen by chance - it was the result of our joint action," the commissioner said.
