A fire at one of the bars in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, has killed at least 27 people, according to Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Report informs via local media outlets.
The prime minister stated that the bodies of 27 victims have already been found, while several others have been hospitalized. The causes of the fire are being investigated.
Preliminary reports suggest the blaze was triggered by a short circuit. Witnesses said that after the fire started, an explosion occurred, and the venue was quickly engulfed by smoke and flames.
Firefighters managed to contain the blaze in about half an hour, but several people are still considered missing.
