Army reforms have further strengthened Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO, according to Elnur Gojayev, Head of the Branch for Relations with Regional and Eastern Countries at the Ministry of Defense's International Military Cooperation Department, Report informs.

He made the remarks during the presentation of the joint report, Azerbaijan Army's Peacekeeping Operations, prepared by the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the Ministry of Defense.

Gojayev noted that Azerbaijan has steadily enhanced defense and security partnerships with leading states on the international stage:

"Continuing the political course of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, under the leadership of Commander‑in‑Chief Ilham Aliyev, reforms in the Armed Forces have deepened Azerbaijan–NATO cooperation. At the same time, alliances and partnerships in defense and security with major powers have been established and strengthened over time."

The system ensures not only effective combat readiness but also the ability to operate in multinational environments and interoperability with NATO forces."
