Joint project by ANAMA and UNDP planned for 18 months

The project “Supporting the Safe Return of Internally Displaced People Through the Capacity Building of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA)” implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) alongside the Government of Azerbaijan is planned for a period of 18 months," Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of ANAMA's Management Board, told journalists, Report informs.
"But we hope to extend it," he said.
According to him, within the framework of the project, ANAMA's information system will be improved, and new demining groups in NGOs and women's demining teams will be formed for the first time.
Suleymanov added that mine-clearing rats and dogs will be brought to Azerbaijan.
