Rainfall levels in Baku have exceeded the norm over the past five years, negatively affecting the city's urban infrastructure, Associate Professor at ADA University Anar Valiyev said during an event held as part of WUF13 in Baku.
According to Report, Anar Valiyev stated that the increase in precipitation is evidence of climate change.
"Rainfall levels in Baku over the past five years have been above normal, which indicates climate change. Drainage infrastructure and sewage systems exist, but they are insufficient to cope with stormwater and floodwaters," Valiyev said.
