Azerbaijan’s machinery and equipment production jumps 78%

In 2023, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers, and other vehicles worth 770.6 million manats ($453.29 million), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Machinery and equipment production surged by 77.7%, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers by 48.1%, and other transport facilities went down by 4.1%.

In the reporting period, 3,738 private vehicles were produced in Azerbaijan, 1,689 cars, or 82.4%, more than the same period last year. As of January 1, 2024, the country had stocked 17 finished products.

Azerbaijan produced 662 tractors, 12.6% higher than in 2022. As a result, the country had 10 finished products as of January 1.

In the reporting period, the country assembled 799 trucks, showing 88.4% growth in comparison to a year earlier.
