Azerbaijani wrestlers secure five medals at Nejad Hashimi Cup in Iran

The Nejad Hashimi Cup freestyle wrestling tournament has concluded in Bushehr, Iran, Report informs.

On the final day of competition, champions were determined in the 61, 70, 79, 92, and 125 kg categories. Three members of Azerbaijan’s U20 national team reached the podium: Anar Jafarli (92 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) secured silver medals, while Nurlan Aghazada (70 kg) claimed bronze.

In the team standings among the seven participating nations, Iran clinched first place, India took second, and Azerbaijan finished third.

Additionally, on the tournament’s opening day, Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) won silver, while Sadraddin Hasanov (57 kg) earned bronze.
