Anar Babanli becomes Azerbaijan's first boxing referee expert

Azerbaijani international boxing referee Anar Babanli has successfully passed the expert exam for referees and judges, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation.
He achieved this at the Youth Olympic Qualification Cup held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
World Boxing announced that Babanli, who attended theoretical and practical lessons at the licensing competition, had successfully passed the exam and will now assess the work of referees and judges. This is a first in the history of Azerbaijani boxing.
Anar Babanli served as a referee at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games, two world championships, and more than 10 European and Asian championships.
