Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan agree to expand co-op in security

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan intend to deepen cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime and the exchange of operational information, Report informs referring to the Foreign Ministry.
The move was discussed at a meeting between Interior Minister, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, and the delegation of Kazakhstan, which arrived in Baku, headed by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov.
Eyvazov noted that cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries is developing in accordance with the strategic line of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and serves the interests of the peoples, as well as ensuring security in the region.
Baltabekov, in turn, emphasized interest in further expanding the partnership. During the visit, the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the Internal Troops and the police of Azerbaijan.
