Second phase of Single Window system begins in Azerbaijan

The implementation of the second phase of Azerbaijan's Single Window information system has officially begun, which will feature the full integration of short import and transit customs declarations into the platform, Natig Shirinov, the deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee, said during the official presentation of the Single Window system - the country's new Digital Logistics Platform, Report informs.

Shirinov explained that this integration will allow the receipt and processing of data for all import and transit operations through a single platform, enabling seamless electronic data exchange among relevant government agencies. This initiative will eliminate the need for duplicate data submissions, making customs clearance and the release of goods significantly faster and more efficient.

Looking ahead to the third phase of the project, Shirinov noted that the integration of the standard import customs declaration, along with declarations for various other customs procedures, will be finalized.

Alongside these technical integrations, relevant government agencies will transmit all required customs clearance permits, approvals, and licenses electronically through the Single Window directly into the customs information system.

This approach aims to minimize the need for businesses to contact multiple state bodies individually, establish the principle of single-time data submission, improve coordination between government agencies, and allow foreign trade transactions to be conducted in a fully integrated digital environment.
