Huseyn Huseynov: Azerbaijan making digital development a strategic priority

Azerbaijan is turning the development of the digital economy into a strategic priority, Huseyn Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, stated at the Technovation Forum in Baku under the theme Resilience and Energy Transformation, Report informs.

Huseynov emphasized that for Azerbaijan, digital transformation is not merely a future-oriented ambition but one of today's strategic priorities.

"Over the past two decades, targeted investments, modern infrastructure projects, and a reform-based business environment have created a solid foundation for long-term development. Today, the non-oil sector stands as one of the main pillars of the economy and remains the primary driver of economic growth. Our goal is clear: to accelerate diversification, strengthen an innovation-driven development model, and build a competitive economy that responds to future challenges. To achieve these objectives, digital transformation lies at the center of our economic agenda," he said.
