Nine out of ten patients who enter the doctor's office have an antibiotic in their prescription, said a specialist of the Ministry of Health, therapist Zakir Guliyev.
According to him, the antibiotic is for destroying bacteria and has no effect on the virus:
"With this method of treatment, we prolong the disease and create a chance of other illnesses. Antibiotics are often used in the first stage of treatment during a pandemic. However, antibiotics prescribed in the first phase suppress the immune system. Care should be taken when prescribing medication to the patient."
