An axillary tumor or swollen areas (abnormal proliferation of cells in lung tissue-Ed) may signal lung cancer, Report states, citing Express.
The British organization Cancer Research UK noted that such manifestations, especially in the armpits or neck, may sign that the disease affects the lymph nodes. It can also grow during infectious illnesses.
"Thus, you cannot be sure of the cause of the tumor until your doctor examines you and performs several tests," the organization warned.
Less common lung cancer symptoms include thickening of the finger phalanges, difficulty swallowing (dysphagia) or pain when swallowing, swelling of the face or neck, and persistent chest or shoulder pain, the Express said.
