Visit program of Pope Francis to Azerbaijan unveiled

Baku. 11 July. REPORT.AZ/ Vatican unveiled the itinerary of the Pope in Azerbaijan.

Report informs referring to the press Service of the Holy See, Rome Pope Francis will arrive in Azerbaijan on October 2 from Georgia.

The visit to Baku will begin with a Papal Mass in the metropolitan church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then the Pope meeting scheduled with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Jewish community.

The same evening, Pope Francis will return to the Vatican.
