It is necessary to focus on the concept of a single market in the South Caucasus after the implementation of the peace agreement.
As Report informs, this was stated by Vugar Bayramov, Azerbaijani MP, Chairman of the Center for Economic and Social Development, at the Energy Security and Connections session within the first Azerbaijan-US Think Tank Forum in Baku.
Vugar Bayramov noted that during the 30-year conflict in the region, there were separate economic markets of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia.
"In this sense, with the implementation of the peace agreement, we should focus on the concept of a single market. This, of course, will also contribute to economic growth. That is, the peace agreement is important in the context of economic dividends," he said.
Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan also plays an important role in energy security.
"Currently, Azerbaijani natural gas is delivered to European Union countries and other partners through the Southern Gas Corridor. The volume of exported gas has increased by almost 29% compared to 2021. That is, Azerbaijan is strengthening its position on the issue of energy security. In addition, by the end of 2027, Azerbaijan plans to sell green energy to European markets," he added.
