The bilateral agreement signed between the United States and Azerbaijan in Washington has created not only a political and strategic partnership but also new opportunities in the energy sector, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright told Report.
"Azerbaijan has vast energy reserves, and I believe it is possible to deliver more natural gas from the country to Europe through the corridor south of the border that could also connect Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is highly significant. The development of Azerbaijan's energy resources and their access to global markets, particularly to Europe and Western markets bypassing Russia, opens broad prospects for future cooperation between our countries," the secretary emphasized.
