Pashinyan meets UN Secretary-General Guterres in New York

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.
According to Report, the sides emphasized the importance of initialing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington. They expressed confidence that this step would contribute to stability and foster cooperation in the South Caucasus.
Pashinyan and Guterres also discussed the organization of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, scheduled to be held in Armenia from October 18 to 30, 2026, as well as cooperation in this area.
The meeting also touched upon other issues of mutual interest.
